Dénia - from. Alicante's Provincial Administration of the City of Dénia is donating € 20,000 for the "Dénia & Marina Alta tasting life" project, which enabled the municipality to be admitted to the international Unesco squad of the "Cities of Gastronomy" at the end of 2015. The agreement was sealed on 4 November by the chairman of the provincial administration, César Sánchez (PP), and Dénias Mayor Vicent Grimalt (PSOE)
The funds will be used, among other things, to finance advertising material, the organization of conferences on gastronomy tourism and participation in trade fairs.
"Dénia & Marina Alta tasting life" focuses on the reworking of overgrown agricultural landscapes and the promotion of sustainable fisheries. In addition, the consumption of lesser-known fish species and the indigenous rice Bombón be stimulated. The primary aim is to promote the demand for fresh, autochtonous and health-promoting products.
